Preserving Free Flight
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Foundation is to preserve free flight through the preservation of open space and education. “Free flight” is the activity of flying a foot launchable, heavier than air vehicle, commonly referred to as hang gliding or paragliding.
The Foundation will partner with qualifying organizations to acquire, preserve and protect open space and access to open space for the purposes of hang gliding and paragliding and related activities by the public.
Establish, stimulate, support and maintain programs and research for hang gliding and paragliding activities, its participants and the general public. This includes but not limited to international and domestic competition, safety, publications, and conservation of historical materials.
CHARITABLE RESTRICTIONS:
No part to the income or the assets of this Foundation shall inure to the benefit of any private individual. This Foundation shall have no capital stock, it's object and purpose being solely of a benevolent character and not for personal pecuniary gain or profit to its members.
The United States Hang Gliding Foundation is an incorporated 501(c) 3 public charity.
